For the third time in five days, an ACT resident is gripped by that Lotto division one winning feeling.

The latest winner, a hardworking Canberra small business owner, won more than $800,000 in last night’s Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw using an entry marked with his family’s birthdates.

The man’s entry was one of the five division one winning entries across Australia in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 3811 on Wednesday 24 October 2018. Each entry takes home a division one prize of $800,000.

In addition to scoring division one, the man’s ticket also won division three 18 times and division four 45 times, bolstering his total windfall to $805,056.65.

Speaking to a NSW Lotteries official this morning, the winner recounted the moment he decided to check his entry in last night’s draw.

“I was just at work this morning and I thought I would check my ticket. So I just scanned it on the app and I couldn’t believe it,” he exclaimed.

“I’ve been playing Lotto for about 20 years using some special numbers – my family’s birthdates. I guess the numbers were due to come up at some stage.

“I’m happy another four people also won division one last night. It’s a great win.”

The man shared his first priority was to buy a new family home with his Lotto windfall.

“We also need a holiday so that might happen as well,” he added.

The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry at Supanews Canberra Centre, Shop EG11, Canberra Centre, 148 Bunda Street, Canberra.

It’s another major winning entry from Supanews Canberra Centre, which sold two shares in a syndicate that won division one on Saturday 20 October 2018.

Supanews Canberra Centre team member Annie Olive said she was amazed to see another division one win land in her outlet.

“That’s three in five days,” she exclaimed.

“We sold two shares in a division one winning syndicate on the weekend and now this. It’s amazing.

“We wish the winner all the very best with their prize. Who knows perhaps we’ll see another division one win for us this weekend.”
