A Caringbah woman is taking home the trophy after a light-hearted challenge with her husband scored her more than $100,000 in a recent Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.

The New South Wales resident won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10800, drawn Thursday 5 October 2023.

In addition to her $100,000 bounty, the winning woman’s entry also scored two consolation prizes of $1,000, bolstering her total lottery loot to $102,000.

“Thank you so much!” she cheered when an official from The Lott called to confirm her newfound fortune.

“My husband and I have a friendly competition where we see who can win more on the lottery tickets. We don’t take it too seriously.

“I’m way ahead of him now!

“I play Lucky Lotteries most weeks and I’ve never won anything like this.

“It’s still sinking in!

“I only got my ticket two hours before the draw had closed.”

The regular player said she would need some time before deciding how she’d best enjoy the prize.

“I still can’t believe I’ve won and I’m in a bit of shock, so I’ll have to spend some time thinking about it,” she exclaimed.

Her winning entry of nine consecutive numbers was purchased at Miranda Newsagency, Shop 1018, Westfield Shoppingtown, 600 Kingsway, Miranda.

The Miranda Newsagency team said they were thrilled their outlet had sold a 1st Prize-winning ticket to a local and wished the winning woman all the best.

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $8.2 million for draw 1627, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $5.31 million for draw 10801.

In FY23, 218 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $79.20 million.
