A merry man from Carlingford has become the second resident of the Sydney suburb to score a $100,000 Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize this week.
The New South Wales player scored the $100,000 1st Prize in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10469, drawn Friday 11 June 2021.
Speaking with an official from The Lott this afternoon, the winner admitted he had been waiting for a win to come his way for a long time.
“Wow! Thank you very much,” he declared.
“That’s great. I have been patiently waiting for a win for nearly 40 years!
“I can’t think at the moment! You have made my day.
“I’m going to take the rest of the day off.”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his prize, the hard-working man knew precisely what he wanted to do with his prize.
“I’ve been working really hard; I think it’s time for a holiday,” he explained.
“I’m not too sure where I will go, but I think a holiday to Queensland would be nice.
“It’s a lot warmer in Queensland, so a change of scenery would be great.
“I also hope to look after my grandsons. My family will be happy to hear I’ve won!”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry of two random numbers online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
Earlier this week, on Wednesday 9 June, a Carlingford woman won $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10468. She plans to use her prize on home renovations.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $1.24 million for draw 1536, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $6.22 million for draw 10470.
In 2020, 141 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $48.61 million.
During this time, the biggest Lucky Lotteries prize was won by an Ermington woman who a Mega Jackpot prize of $11.73 million in January.
Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.
