A Carlingford woman’s plans for her home renovation have received a $100,000 upgrade thanks to her Lucky Lotteries win.
The New South Wales winner scored the $100,000 1st Prize in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10468, drawn Wednesday 9 June 2021.
This morning an official from The Lott spoke to the Sydney resident who was left astonished upon hearing the wondrous news.
“I’m a bit surprised! I’m not sure how to process this,” she declared.
“I opened my online account and initially only saw a $10 win on another entry. I then received an email from The Lott about a big win, and I couldn’t understand what was going on.
“I thought it was a scam but then realised the details all added up. I still thought, ‘It can’t be me!’.
“My husband and I were going to have a low-key day, but I’m going to open a bottle of prosecco right after this phone call!”
When asked how she planned to enjoy her prize, the Sydney resident said she would put it towards refurbishing the house.
“We actually just demolished our home and are in the process of rebuilding!” she shared.
“This couldn’t have come at a more perfect time. We’ve wanted to update the house for a while.
“We’re going to celebrate at home as we can’t travel overseas at the moment.
“I’m nervous but excited! This is really good news.”
The happy winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry of two random numbers online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $1.24 million for draw 1536, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $6.09 million for draw 10649.
In 2020, 141 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $48.61 million.
During this time, the biggest Lucky Lotteries prize was won by an Ermington woman who a Mega Jackpot prize of $11.73 million in January.
