Twenty-four Tasmanians have received a mid-week surprise after scoring a share in last night’s $20 million Oz Lotto draw.
However, some members of the winning syndicate may have yet to realise their good fortune, prompting lottery officials to urge players to check their tickets as soon as possible.
The syndicate held one of the two division one winning entries in Oz Lotto draw 1512, drawn on Tuesday 7 January 2023.
In addition to winning division one, the syndicate’s System 11 QuickPick entry also scored division two 7 times, division three 21 times, division four 63 times, division five 63 times, division six 140 times, and division seven 40 times – bolstering the group’s total windfall to $10,179,239.30.
Each syndicate member scored a total prize of $424,134.99.
The winning syndicate was established by Strahan Supermarket & Newsagency, 1 Reid Street, Strahan.
The Strahan Supermarket & Newsagency team was celebrating selling a division one winning syndicate and wish all of them syndicate members all the best.
The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell congratulated the syndicate winners and encouraged all players who purchased an Oz Lotto syndicate entry from Strahan Supermarket & Newsagency to check their tickets.
“Some of these division one winning syndicate members have already begun celebrating their good fortune knowing their bank account is about to be boosted with $424,000,” she said.
“While we’ll be reaching out to those winners who registered their entry to a player card, there are some unregistered syndicate members who may have yet to discover their good news.

The winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1512 on Tuesday 7 February 2023 were 14, 20, 22, 18, 7, 43 and 5, while the supplementary numbers were 1, 33 and 2.
