Lottery officials are calling on Nerang residents and visitors to check their Saturday Gold Lotto tickets because someone is starting the working week $740,000 richer, though they may not yet know it.
The Gold Coast player held one of the nine division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4643, drawn Saturday 17 January 2026. Each division one winning entry scored $741,935.70.
If the winner had been part of The Lott Members Club and registered their ticket to a player card or online account, officials from The Lott would have already alerted the player to their newfound fortune.
Instead, officials are eagerly waiting for the mystery ticketholder to check their ticket and come forward.
The winning entry was purchased from Nerang Fair News & Gifts, Shop 15, Nerang Fair Shopping Centre, 74 Nerang-Beaudesert Road, Nerang.
Nerang Fair News & Gifts team member Desiree Cassidy said she and the team were thrilled to sell another division one winning entry.
“It’s very exciting! Many people have been coming in to check their tickets and see if they’re the mystery winner,” she said.
“We’ve sold several division one winning tickets here, and lots of customers say we’re their lucky spot.
“Hopefully, the winner comes forward soon! Congratulations to them.We’re very happy to be a part of their life-changing win.”
The Lott spokesperson Khat McIntyre said she looked forward to uniting the Gold Coast’s latest major lottery winner with their windfall.
“Our mystery winner is likely oblivious to the fact they’ve won more than $740,000 in the weekend's Saturday Gold Lotto draw,” she said.
“We can’t wait to speak to this winner and confirm the exciting news. It’s the type of surprise that could make 2026 unforgettable.
“We’re urging anybody who purchased a ticket from Nerang Fair News & Gifts to check their tickets today because you could be the mystery winner we’re searching for.
“This is an important reminder for players to register their tickets to a player's card or online account with The Lott Members Club, so if they do score division one, we can reach out with the exciting news.

The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4643 on 17 January 2026 were 38, 8, 35, 19, 44 and 9, while the supplementary numbers were 23 and 33.
Across Australia, there were nine division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4643 – three each in Victoria and Western Australia, two in Queensland, and one in New South Wales.
