A Matraville resident or visitor has been living the week as a newly minted millionaire after winning $1.2 million in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw, though they may not know it yet.
The New South Wales player held one of the five division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4645, drawn Saturday 24 January 2026. Each division one winning entry scored $1,286,587.92.
If the winner had been part of The Lott Members Club and registered their ticket to a player card or online account, they would have already been alerted to their good fortune.
Instead, officials from The Lott are eagerly waiting for the ticketholder to check their ticket and come forward.
The winning entry was purchased from Matraville Newsagency, 456 Bunnerong Road, Matraville.
The Lott spokesperson Khat McIntyre said she was eager to unite Sydney’s newest millionaire with their prize.
“It’s likely this winner has been going about their Wednesday as normal with no idea they’re holding a division one winning ticket,” she said.
“We’re urging all players who purchased a Saturday Lotto entry from Matraville Newsagency to check their tickets today.
“Imagine how exciting it would be to realise you’ve just won more than $1.2 million! Your plans for the rest of the year would certainly change with those extra digits in your bank account.
“Be sure to check everywhere for your ticket because you could be the winner we are searching for. It could be in your wallet, handbag, fridge door, or car glovebox.

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4645 on 24 January 2026 were 29, 24, 22, 33, 28 and 8, while the supplementary numbers were 27 and 19.
Across Australia, there were five division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4645 – two in New South Wales and one each in Queensland, Victoria and South Australia.
