A Cleve resident or visitor has won $1 million in this week's Monday & Wednesday X Lotto draw but may be unaware of the fact they’re a newly-minted millionaire.
The mystery Cleve ticketholder held one of the three division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday X Lotto draw 4224, drawn Monday 3 October 2022 and takes home $1 million.
The winning entry was not registered to a player card, which means officials from The Lott have no way of notifying the winner of their life-changing win and must wait for them to check their ticket.
The winning ticket was purchased at Cleve Hardware Pty Ltd, 24 Fourth Street, Cleve.
Cleve Hardware Pty Ltd owner Kelly Richardson said the win had created a special buzz in the town..
“We’re overjoyed to have sold a division one winning entry in Monday & Wednesday X Lotto and we hope the win went to a local resident!” she said.
“Everyone in the community will be stoked for the winner and I can just imagine it will be the talk of the town.
“We sold our last division one winning entry five years ago, so it’s really nice to see another division one win land our way. It’s the start of a winning streak!
“Congratulations on your win and thank you for supporting our outlet. We hope you check your tickets soon!”
The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said she was eagerly waiting to speak to the mystery Cleve winner.
“It’s very likely this winner is oblivious to the fact they become a millionaire this week,” she said.
“We’re urging anyone who purchased a Monday & Wednesday X Lotto ticket at Cleve Hardware to check their tickets today!
“The feeling you’ll get after checking that ticket, which may be sitting in your wallet or at the bottom of your bag and realising you’re $1 million better off, will be incredible.
“Make sure you check your tickets and if you do discover you are holding the winning ticket, contact The Lott on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.”
The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4222 on Monday 3 October 2022 were 8, 6, 13, 23, 43 and 42, while the supplementary numbers were 42 and 41.
