It’s quite possible a Cobar local or visitor to the region has woken up this morning and gone about their Tuesday as normal without checking their Saturday Lotto ticket and discovering they’re more than $830,000 richer.
The mystery winner holds one of the seven division one winning entries across Australia in Saturday Lotto draw 4175, drawn Saturday 24 July 2021. Each entry won a division one prize of $834,643.56.
The ticket is unregistered so officials from The Lott have no way of contacting the winner to break the news. Instead, they must wait for the ticketholder to come forward and claim their prize.
The life-changing entry was purchased at Cobar Newsagency, 15 Barton Street, Cobar.
Cobar Newsagency owner Anni Van Der Westhuizen said they were looking forward to congratulating their winner.
“This is the first division one winning entry we’ve sold since taking over the business in December,” she explained.
“We certainly hope it’s a local person from our small town who has picked up this prize.
“We’re just waiting for them to come in and check their ticket so we can give them that exciting news!”
The Lott spokesperson Lauren Cooney said she was eager to unite the region’s newest division one winner with their prize.
“It’s likely this winner has been going about their week as normal with no idea they’ve just won a life-changing lottery prize,” she said.
“We’re urging all players who purchased a Saturday Lotto ticket from Cobar Newsagency to check their tickets today.
“Make sure you search for any tickets in your wallet, handbag, fridge door or car glovebox, because you could be the winner we are searching for.
“If you discover you are holding the winning ticket, contact The Lott on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.”
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4175 on 24 July 2021 were 30, 12, 26, 16, 40 and 27, while the supplementary numbers were 13 and 15.
Across Australia, there were seven division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4175 – three from Victoria and one each from New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania and Western Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 255 so far this calendar year, including 69 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
In 2020, Saturday Lotto created 122 millionaires across Australia.
During this time, there were 312 division one winning in Saturday Lotto entries across Australia, which collectively won more than $355.13 million.
