An Epping resident or visitor could be walking around today completely oblivious to the fact they are now a millionaire after scoring division one in last night’s Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw.
The mystery player held one of the three division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4153 on Wednesday 2 February 2022 and takes home $1 million.
The winning entry is unregistered, which means officials from The Lott have no way to contact the winner to break the exciting news, and must wait for them to come forward to claim their prize.
The division one winning entry was purchased at North Epping Newsagency, Shop 2, 288 Malton Road, Epping.
North Epping Newsagency owner Socheat Chey said was eagerly waiting for her division one winner to claim their prize.
“I was very excited when I heard we’d sold a division one winning entry. My mind was racing wondering who the unregistered winner might be,” she said.
“Hopefully, the winner discovers this exciting news soon. Everyone in the area is pleased for the lucky winner – whoever they may be.
“We are celebrating this win with some champagne, and we’ll have a small party for our staff.
“We took ownership of this outlet about eight months ago, and this is our first division one win, so it’s a big milestone. Hopefully, there are plenty more big wins in our future.
“We are so happy for them and glad we were able to be part of this awesome moment in their life. We won’t forget it!”
The Lott spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said she was in the business of paying prizes and hoped to unite the winner with their windfall soon.
