Someone who purchased a TattsLotto ticket in Geelong may have woken up this morning completely oblivious to the fact they are walking around over $1.2 million richer after scoring division one in the weekend’s draw.
The mystery Victorian player holds one of the four division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4053 on Saturday 23 May 2020. Each entry won a division one prize of $1,232,163.59.
The ticket is unregistered, so officials from the Lott have no way of contacting the winner to break the news. Instead, they must wait for the ticketholder to come forward and claim their prize.
The winning entry was purchased at Highton Lotto, 12 Bellevue Arcade, Highton.
Highton Lotto owner John Hodgson said he was absolutely thrilled his outlet had sold a division one winning entry.
“We are very excited! Especially during these tough times!” he exclaimed.
“We’ve decorated the store with posters and balloons, and we’ll be celebrating with some champagne too of course!
“We have a lot of amazing and loyal customers from our little village so they will be really happy for us.
“We’ve sold about 20 division one winning entries over the years. The last was in February last year so we are thrilled have sold another one again so soon.
“We hope we find our winner soon so we can unite them with their prize!”
The Lott spokesperson Bronwyn Spencer said the mystery Geelong winner could be utterly unaware their winning million-dollar entry was in their pocket, in their purse or stuck on the fridge.
“If you purchased a TattsLotto ticket in draw 4053 from Highton Lotto and News, there are over one million reasons why you should check your ticket today,” she said.
“Make sure you check your wallet, handbag, fridge door and car glovebox. Previous winners have found valuable tickets in all sorts of strange places.
“You can check your numbers on the Lott website, via the Lott app and at your local retail outlet.
“If you discover you are holding the winning ticket contact us on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.”

Geelong is also home to a second division one winner from the weekend after a Bell Post Hill local scored a division one prize of $24,999 in Saturday’s Super 66 draw.
The winning entry is registered to a Tatts Card, however officials from the Lott have been unable to contact the winner to break the life-changing news as their contact details appear to be out of date.
The division one winning entry was purchased at Bellpost Lotto & News, Shop 13, Bellpost Shopping Centre, 290 Anakie Road, Norlane.
Bellpost Lotto & News manager Shandelle Griggs said she was over the moon to hear her outlet had sold a division one winning entry.
“It’s been almost five years since we sold our last division one winning entry, so we are very excited!” she exclaimed.
“We will be celebrating this milestone by putting up posters and letting all of our customers know about our exciting news.
“They will be so happy for us.
“We’ve sold 12 division one winning entries since the shop opened over 30 years ago.
“We hope our winner discovers their win soon!”
In 2019, Monday & Wednesday Lotto and TattsLotto created 203 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4053 on Saturday 23 May 2020 were 30, 45, 1, 21, 32 and 25, while the supplementary numbers were 31 and 39.
Across Australia, there were four division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4053 – two from Victoria, and one each from Queensland and South Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 140 so far this calendar year, including 53 won by Tatts customers.
Between 1 January and 31 December 2019, there were 289 division one winning TattsLotto entries across Australia, which collectively won more than $333.41 million.
