Lottery officials are calling on locals in the Mackay region to check their Saturday Gold Lotto tickets after a mystery player scored a life-enhancing $900,000 in the weekend’s draw.
The mystery winner held one of the seven division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4591, drawn Saturday 19 July 2025. Their total windfall was $913,127.93.
If the winner had been part of The Lott Members Club and registered their ticket to a player card or online account, they would have already been alerted to their good fortune.
Instead, officials from The Lott are eagerly waiting for the ticketholder to check their ticket and come forward.
The winning entry was purchased at Newsextra Village, Shop 6, 23 Oak Street, Andergrove.
Newsextra Village owner Susan Vella said she was over the moon to sell her first division one winning entry.
“It’s definitely a great start to the week! I was going through my emails in the morning and received a shock when I read that we sold a division one winning entry,” she said.
“I had to re-read the email a couple of times to make sure I was reading it correctly.
“This is a very exciting milestone for us, as this is the first division one winning entry we’ve ever sold. We will be decorating the store with balloons and streamers.
“Congratulations to the mystery winner and we hope they check their ticket and come forward soon.”
The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said the mystery person had most likely started their week with no idea they’d taken home more than $900,000 over the weekend.
“Imagine going to bed not knowing you’ve won $900,000 in Saturday Gold Lotto! That’s the reality for one mystery winner after scoring division one in the weekend’s draw,” she said.
“While we’ve been unable to confirm the division one win with the winner, we’re sure that when they check their ticket and discover their news, they’ll be jumping for joy.
“We’re encouraging everyone to check their entries because they might be the division one winner we’re searching for!
“If you think you’re holding this very valuable ticket, please call The Lott on 131 868 to start the process of claiming your prize.
“This is a great reminder to all lottery players to register your ticket to The Lott Members Club because if you scored a life-changing prize, we could call immediately after the draw with the exhilarating news.”
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4591 on 19 July 2025 were 7, 42, 36, 17, 15 and 22, while the supplementary numbers were 34 and 9.
Across Australia, there were seven division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4591 – four in Victoria, and one each in South Australia, Queensland and Tasmania.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 241 so far in 2025, including 99 won by Tatts customers.
In 2024, Saturday Gold Lotto created 149 millionaires across Australia.
During this time, there were 316 division one winning Saturday Gold Lotto entries across Australia that collectively won more than $400.2 million.
