A Loxton resident or visitor has stepped into the week as a newly minted millionaire after scoring more than $1.3 million in the weekend’s Saturday X Lotto draw, though they may not know it yet.
The mystery ticketholder held one of the four division one winning entries nationally in Saturday X Lotto draw 4533, drawn Saturday 28 December 2024. Each division one winning entry pocketed $1,352,707.86.
If the winner had been part of The Lott Members Club and registered their ticket to a player card or online account, they would have already been alerted to their newfound treasure. Instead, officials from The Lott are eagerly waiting for the ticketholder to check their ticket and come forward.
The division one winning entry was purchased at Loxton Newsagency, 12 East Terrace, Loxton.
The Lott spokesperson Eliza Wregg said she hoped the region’s latest division one winner checked their ticket and came forward to start the exciting prize claim process.
“Our mystery winner is likely oblivious to the fact they’ve scored a million-dollar prize in the weekend’s Saturday X Lotto!” she said.
“We’re encouraging anyone who purchased a Saturday X Lotto ticket from Loxton Newsagency to check their ticket today!
“Just imagine how exhilarating it would be to discover you were a newly minted millionaire ahead of the New Year! Your plans for 2025 would surely change in a heartbeat.
“Make sure you check your tickets, and if you discover you are holding the winning ticket, contact The Lott on 131 868 as soon as possible to begin the exciting prize claim process.”
Loxton Newsagency owner Lesley Golding shared she was over the moon to hear Loxton had scored a life-changing win over the weekend and hoped the winner came forward soon.
“It’s very exciting to hear our tight-knit Loxton community has had a division one win,” she said.
“As the entry is not registered it could be someone local or someone visiting the area, either way we’re so happy for them.
“Since owning the business, we’ve had many sizeable wins across a variety of games, including Keno and Instant Scratch-Its. It felt like we were due for another big win!
“This is something we hope for every time we sell a lottery ticket to someone. It’s fantastic when it happens; you really just need to be in it to have that chance to win.
“We’re so happy for our mystery winner and hope we can find them soon so they can celebrate their win with their family.”
The winning numbers in Saturday X Lotto draw 4533 on 28 December 2024 were 26, 41, 4, 12, 29, and 40 while the supplementary numbers were 34 and 31.
Across Australia, there were four division one winning entries in Saturday X Lotto draw 4533 – two in New South Wales and one each in Victoria and South Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 232 so far in FY25, including 21 won by SA Lotteries customers.
In FY24, Saturday X Lotto created 158 millionaires across Australia.
During this time, there were 292 division one winning Saturday X Lotto entries across Australia that collectively won more than $436 million.
