A Scone resident or visitor became $200,000 richer after scoring the 1st Prize in a Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw two weeks ago but may have yet to discover the exciting news themselves.

The mystery player won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1596, drawn Wednesday 19 October 2022.

As the entry was not registered to a player card, lottery officials have no way contacting the winner and must wait for the ticketholder to check their entry.

The winning entry was purchased at Scone Newsagency, 169 Kelly Street, Scone.

Scone Newsagency owner David O’Donnell said his team hoped their latest elusive winner checked their winning ticket soon.

“We’ve been spreading the word hoping our winner comes in soon,” he said.

“For anyone out there, please check your fridge and glove box for lottery tickets because you may be $200,000 richer.

“We were very excited to hear we sold a 1st Prize winning ticket in Lucky Lotteries and look forward to our winner discovering their prize.”

The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said he was eager to unite the elusive winner with their lottery prize.

“The winner has likely been going about their recent weeks with no clue in the world they’ve won a whopping $200,000 prize,” he said.

“We’re urging all players who purchased a Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot ticket from Scone Newsagency to check their tickets today.

“Make sure to scout high and wide for any unchecked lottery tickets, which could be hiding in your pockets, your car, your shopping bag – anywhere you might store lottery tickets for safekeeping.

“If you discover you are holding the winning ticket, contact The Lott on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.”

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $1.24 million for draw 1598, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $1.02 million for draw 10730.

In FY22, 169 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $32.95 million.
