A Springwood resident or visitor has started the week $672,000 richer, after winning division one in Saturday night’s Gold Lotto draw – but they have no idea of their life-changing windfall.
The entry was one of the six division one winning entries across Australia in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3923, drawn Saturday 23 February 2019. Each entry won a division one prize of $672,193.57.
The winning entry is unregistered, which means Golden Casket officials have no way of contacting the winner to break the life-changing news.
The entry was purchased at Chatswood Hills News & Casket Agency, Shop 34, Chatswood Hills Shopping centre, Magellan Road, Springwood.
Chatswood Hills News & Casket Agency owner Soni Dahiya said he hopes the winner checks their entry soon.
“It’s incredible to think this customer could be walking around with the winning entry in their pocket or wallet, completely unaware of their good fortune,” he said.
“Just over a year ago we sold a winning $10 million Powerball entry, so we’re so excited to have sold another division one winning entry so close to the last.”
“Every time we’ve checked a Saturday Gold Lotto entry today we’ve been hoping it’s the winning entry.
“I hope our customer checks their ticket soon!”
Golden Casket spokesperson Lauren Cooney said she was eager to confirm the news with the winner and unite them with their prize.
“Someone out there could be starting their working week $672,000 richer but they just don’t know it yet,” she said.
“If you discover you’re holding the winning ticket, hold on tight to it and phone 131 868 as soon as possible so that we can start the prize claim process!
“While we hunt for the mystery winner, it’s a great reminder to register your entries so your prizes are secure and keep your contact details up to date so we can contact you directly with the good news should you win!”
In 2018, Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto and Saturday Gold Lotto created 194 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3923 on Saturday 23 February 2019 were 37, 13, 19, 21, 25 and 20, while the supplementary numbers were 33 and 27.
Across Australia, there were six division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3923, including four in Queensland and one each in Victoria and Western Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 254 so far this financial year, including 56 won by Golden Casket customers.
In the 12 months to 31 December 2018, there were 280 division one winning Saturday Lotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $306.19 million.
