A Torrens Park resident or visitor won $1.7 million in the weekend’s X Lotto draw but may be unaware they’re a newly-minted millionaire.
The mystery South Australia ticketholder held one of the three division one winning entries in Saturday X Lotto draw 4361, drawn Saturday 6 May 2023, and took home $1,746,879.18.
The winning entry was not registered to a player card, which means officials from The Lott have no way of notifying the winner of their life-changing news and must wait for them to check their ticket.
The winning ticket was purchased at Mitcham Square Newsagency, Shop 39/119 Belair Road, Torrens Park.
Mitcham Square Newsagency owner Ben Poland said his entire team was excited to have changed the life of one of their customers.
“All of our staff are really excited, but also a bit nervous! The idea that we sold a customer a ticket that could change someone’s life is just amazing,” he exclaimed.
“Our customers will be over the moon to hear that someone in the community has won big. They always ask when our last division one winning entry was and now, we can say, ‘last weekend!’.
“It’s been a while since we’ve sold our last division one winning entry. In fact, over 10 years ago, so we were all thinking it’s only a matter of time until we sold the next one!

The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said she was eagerly waiting to speak to the mystery Torrens Park winner.
