It’s quite possible a Thurgoona local or visitor to the region has woken up this morning and gone about their Tuesday as normal without checking their Saturday Lotto ticket and discovering they’re $1.4 million richer.
The mystery winner holds one of the 14 division one winning entries across Australia in Saturday Lotto draw 4165, drawn Saturday 19 June 2021. Each entry won a division one prize of $1,428,571.43.
The ticket is unregistered so officials from The Lott have no way of contacting the winner to break the news. Instead, they must wait for the ticketholder to come forward and claim their prize.
The life-changing entry was purchased at Thurgoona Plaza Newsagency, Shop 9, Thurgoona Plaza, 10 Shuter Avenue, Thurgoona.
Thurgoona Plaza Newsagency employee Maggie Duck said she was waiting patiently for the winner to come forward.
“This prize would certainly give someone a happy start of the week,” she laughed.
“We’re just waiting for them to come in and check their ticket so we can give them that exciting news!
“It’s been about two years since we sold a division one winning entry and we’re certainly hoping we hear from our winner soon.”
The Lott spokesperson Lauren Cooney said she was eager to unite the region’s newest millionaire with their prize.
“It’s likely this winner has been going about their day as normal with no idea they’ve just won $1.4 million!” she said.
“We’re urging all players who purchased a Saturday Lotto ticket from Thurgoona Plaza Newsagency to check their tickets today.

The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4165 on 19 June 2021 were 30, 40, 34, 14, 41 and 12, while the supplementary numbers were 15 and 27.
Across Australia, there were 14 division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4165 – five each from Queensland and Victoria, two from New South Wales, and one each from the ACT and Western Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 215 so far this calendar year, including 54 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
In 2020, Saturday Lotto created 122 millionaires across Australia.
