A Chermside grandfather has confessed he wants nothing but to share his incredible good fortune with his family after winning more than $875,000 in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.
The Brisbane resident held one of the six division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4301, drawn Saturday 8 October 2022 and took home a division one prize of $875,660.18.
Confirming his win with an official from The Lott, the winner thanked his special numbers for his life-enhancing windfall.
“I’ve played the same numbers for more than 20 years and at last I’ve won!” he exclaimed.
“I feel incredibly grateful at the moment.
“It’s something I never thought would happen to me!
“I’ll definitely share it with my family. I can’t wait to surprise them and see the shocked looks on their faces.
“It also gives me security moving forward.
“That’s all I can really ask for, to live my life the way I want to from now on.
“Thanks so much. This is amazing.”
His winning entry was purchased at Nextra Chermside Newsagency, Shop 385 Westfield Shoppingtown, Gympie Road, Chermside.

The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4301 on 8 October 2022 were 37, 17, 45, 20, 33 and 23, while the supplementary numbers were 18 and 22.
