Six days after the draw, the Nunawading shopper Tatts officials have been searching for has come forward to claim their TattsLotto division one prize.

The thrilled winner held one of the nine division one winning entries across Australia in TattsLotto draw 3887 on 20 October 2018. Each entry takes home a division one prize of $443,884.30.

While the winning entry was registered to a Tatts Card, Tatts officials had been unable to contact the winner with the dream-come-true news as their contact details were out of date.

Why the elusive winner took six days to come forward and how they plan to spend their TattsLotto windfall will forever remain a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.

The winning entry was purchased at Mountain View Newsagency, 293A Springfield Road, Nunawading.

Owner of Mountain View Newsagency Susan Hosseini said she was thrilled the winner had finally been united with their prize.

“We are so happy for our winner!” she exclaimed.

“We’ve had this outlet for about 15 years now and we love all of our customers. We are always happy when we hear one of our customers have had a win – big or small!

“We sold a $4 million division one winning entry last year, and a $1 million division one win the year before that so we are on a bit of winning streak.

“We have a good track record for winners so people always ask us ‘When are you going to sell another one?’.

“Now we can tell them another one of our happy customers is a winner!’

Tatts spokesperson Bronwyn Spencer said TattsLotto division one winners often shared their winnings with those special people at the top of their Lotto List.

“Whether it’s family or friends, almost every TattsLotto player has a list of people that they can’t wait to share their windfall with,” she said.

“While some winners help their family members with house deposits, others take their friends on overseas holidays.

“While we don’t know how our winner plans to spend their prize, our Nunawading winner can look forward seeing their bank account about balloon by more than $443,000.”

Ms Spencer also reminded players of the importance of registering their entry to a Tatts card.

“It is really important that when you register your entries to a Tatts card, you keep your details up to date so we can contact you directly with the good news in the case of a win,” she said.

So far this calendar year, Monday & Wednesday Lotto and TattsLotto have created 146 millionaires across Australia.

The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 3887 on Saturday 20 October 2018 were 38, 14, 15, 42, 5 and 45, while the supplementary numbers were 8 and 22.

Across Australia there were nine division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 3887  – two each from Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland and one each from Tasmania, South Australia and Western Australia.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 318 so far this calendar year, including 128 won by Tatts customers.

Last financial year, there were 290 division one winning TattsLotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $302.7 million.
