A Collingwood man is ready to step out of the rental market and into homeownership after scoring $1 million in a recent Weekday Windfall draw.
The merry Melburnian held the only division one winning entry nationally in Weekday Windfall draw 4438, drawn Wednesday 4 September 2024 and pocketed a total prize of $1,000,000.00.
The fortunate winner was moved to tears upon hearing the life-changing news, explaining that he had been searching for a new place to live for months without success.
“Thank you very much! Oh wow. I feel overwhelmed,” he said.
“That’s incredible. I’m speechless. I really am. I don’t know what to say.
“I couldn’t be more grateful. This is a new start. I’ve been living with family, looking for a place to live. This is major.
“Instead of looking through the ‘For rent’ columns, I can now look at the ‘For sale’ columns!
“As a single bloke, finding a place on your own can be tricky but this changes everything.
“I’m looking forward to celebrating with a few close friends and family.

His winning entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Weekday Windfall draw 4438 on Wednesday 4 September 2024 were 42, 9, 22, 35, 45 and 31, while the supplementary numbers were 21 and 3.
Across Australia, there was one division one winning entry in Weekday Windfall draw 4438 – one in Victoria.
