A Coolum Beach shopper has sprung into spring with a lush $2.5 million boost after scoring a division one prize in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.
The Sunshine Coast player held one of the eight division one winning entries across Australia in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4395 on Saturday 2 September 2023. Each division one winning entry took home $2.5 million.
However, how the winner plans to spend their windfall will forever remain a mystery as they have chosen to stay completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
The winning 12-game QuickPick was purchased at Coolum Beach Newsagency, Shop 23, 8 Birtwill Street, Coolum Beach.
Coolum Beach newsagency owner Carmel Parkinson said she was absolutely thrilled to have sold her first division one winning entry.
“It’s very exciting and absolutely amazing news. We’ve been eagerly waiting to sell a division one winning entry, and while it’s taken 10 years, the wait has been well worth it!” she said.
“The Sunshine Coast community will be overjoyed to hear their local Coolum Beach Newsagency has sold a division one winning ticket worth $2.5 million and changed a customer’s life forever!

The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4395 on 2 September 2023 were 9, 37, 32, 41, 40 and 16, while the supplementary numbers were 26 and 30.
