It’s almost been one year since a resident or visitor to Kiama scored a life-changing $4.8 million in a Set for Life draw but they have yet to claim it.

The mystery ticketholder held the only division one winning entry nationally in Set for Life draw 3404, drawn Saturday 30 November 2024. They scored a total division one prize of $4.8 million, paid in monthly instalments of $20,000 a month for the next 20 years.

Had the winner registered their ticket to a The Lott Members Club player card or online account, they would have already received $240,000 in monthly instalments over the past 12 months.

Instead, officials from The Lott are still waiting for the ticketholder to check their ticket and come forward.

The winning entry was purchased at Nextra Kiama, Shop T3, Kiama Village, 143 Terralong Street, Kiama.

The Lott spokesperson Khat McIntyre said the unclaimed prize remained one of the most intriguing mysteries of the past year.

“It’s incredible to think someone has been walking around for 12 months, potentially unaware they’re a multi-millionaire,” she said.

“Imagine how different their year could have been and how different the next 20 years still could be, with $20,000 landing in their bank account every month.

“We’re urging anyone who bought a Set for Life ticket from Nextra Kiama around November last year to check it immediately.

“We’d love nothing more than this mystery winner to come forward, so be sure to check in all the weird and wonderful spots this ticket may be hiding.

“If you discover you’re holding the winning ticket, contact The Lott on 131 868 to begin the prize claim process. And remember, winners can choose to remain completely anonymous.”

The winning numbers in Set for Life draw 3404 on Saturday 30 November 2024 were 33, 19, 40, 29, 28, 3 and 5, while the supplementary numbers were 38 and 9.

Across Australia, there was one division one winning entry in Set for Life draw 3404 – the entry from New South Wales.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 370 so far in 2025, including 105 won by NSW Lotteries customers.

In FY25, there were 28 Set for Life division one winners across Australia who will receive $20 million during the next 20 years.

By 30 June 2025, more than $166 million in monthly payments had been paid to the 158 Set for Life division one winners across Australia.
