Crosswords might be a Kenmore local’s new favourite game, after their word play scored them one of the top prizes of $100,000 on a $5 Crossword Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
The top prize winning $5 Christmas Crosswords Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased at newsXpress Kenmore Plaza, Shop 4, 841 Moggill Road, Kenmore.
How the winner plans to enjoy their windfall will forever be a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
newsXpress Kenmore Plaza Ronald Mulheron said he was thrilled to have sold a winning ticket to one of his local customers.
“We are absolutely blown away,” he explained.
“It’s hard to describe how excited we are about this!
“This is the biggest prize we’ve sold since we got the shop.
“It’s an incredible win and we can only imagine how excited our local customer is.
“We are just so happy for our winner and we wish them all the best with their prize.
“We are looking forward to selling more major prizes in the future! Fingers crossed we sell a major prize in each game.
“We will certainly be celebrating and sharing this wonderful news with all of our customers.”
Instant Scratch-Its spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said she was sure the happy winner was delighted by their instant win.
“What an excellent win of $100,000! We can imagine the winner was thrilled when they discovered that prize,” she said.
“While we don’t know how our winner will enjoy their prize, we have no doubt this player will be smiling from ear to ear knowing their bank balance is about to balloon by a few extra digits.
