It might be a cloudy day in Anna Bay, but for one player, a $100,000 Lucky Lotteries prize could brighten their day – but first, they need to check their ticket.

The Hunter Region player won the 1st Prize of $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10467, drawn Monday 7 June 2021.

The ticket is unregistered, so  officials from The Lott have no way of contacting the winner to break the news and must wait for them to come forward to claim their prize.

The winning entry was purchased at Anna Bay Newsagency & Post Office, Shop 7, 118 Gan Gan Road, Anna Bay.

Anna Bay Newsagency & Post Office team member Ellie Wagland said she hoped the winner would soon discover the sensational news.

“That’s so great to hear!” she declared.

“Our last win was a few years ago, in July 2019. It was also a Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot win.

“We’ve always had a mix of people come in from all sorts of locations as we have the Port Stephens big tourist centre nearby. But we have always had our regulars as we are locally based.

“We’ve been waiting for a win! We have a space on our wall ready for a new winning entry plaque to take the spot.

“On behalf of the team, we would like to say, congratulations! We’re happy for them and hope they come and check their tickets sometime soon.”

The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said she was on the hunt for the latest New South Wales winner.

“This winner is likely going about their day as normal with no idea they’ve just won $100,000!” she said.

“Perhaps they’re laying on the glistering sand with their ticket in their hand? It’s the right location to be doing so!

“We’re urging all players who purchased a Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot ticket from Anna Bay Newsagency to check their tickets today.

“We’re so close to the end of the financial year, and it would be a great start to the new one!

“Make sure you check your ticket, which could be in your handbag, wallet or even your beach bag! Be sure to scour everywhere, because the winner could be you and you could be planning what to do with your prize!

“If you discover you are holding the winning ticket, contact The Lott on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.”

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $1.24 million for draw 1536, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $5.96 million for draw 10468.

In 2020, 141 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $48.61 million.

During this time, the biggest Lucky Lotteries prize was won by an Ermington woman who a Mega Jackpot prize of $11.73 million in January.

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.

Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.

Tickets can be purchased at any licenced lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via The Lott mobile app.
