A Charters Towers resident or visitor has struck gold with a $1 million prize in last night’s Weekday Windfall draw but may be completely unaware of their newfound treasure.
The mystery ticketholder held one of the two division one winning entries in Weekday Windfall draw 4407, drawn Wednesday 24 June 2024 and has won a total of $1 million.
The winning entry was not registered to a player card or online account, meaning officials from The Lott have no way of notifying the winner of their fruitful fortune and must wait for them to check their ticket and come forward.
The winning ticket was purchased at Cunninghams News, 28 Gill Street, Charters Towers.
Cunningham News owner Narelle Jones said she couldn’t be happier for the mystery winner.
“It’s marvelous. There’s nothing we enjoy more than selling a winning ticket to one of our customers!” she said.
“It's been a while! May 2017 was the last time we sold a division one winning entry.
“This will mark our sixth winning entry during my twenty-five years of owning the store.
“Congratulations to our winning customer! Well done and thank you for shopping at Cunninghams News.”
The Lott spokesperson Anna Hobdell said she hoped to unite Queensland’s latest division one winner with their life-changing prize soon.
“Our mystery winner is likely oblivious to the fact they’ve won a hefty $1 million in last night’s Weekday Windfall draw,” she said.
“We’re encouraging anyone who purchased a Weekday Windfall ticket from Cunningham News to check their tickets as soon as possible!
“Can you imagine how extraordinary it would be to discover you’ve become a millionaire overnight? Your plans for the rest of the year and into the future would change quickly!

The winning numbers in Weekday Windfall draw 4407 on Monday 24 June 2024 were 17, 41, 29, 5, 8 and 12, while the supplementary numbers were 11 and 37.
Across Australia, there were two division one winning entries in Weekday Windfall draw 4407 – two in Queensland.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 406 so far in FY24, including 96 won by Golden Casket customers.
