Oz Lotto could crown its first multi-millionaire of 2022 this Tuesday should one Aussie snag the $50 million prize - the equal biggest jackpot the game has offered in more than two years.

During the past five Oz Lotto draws, no entry has held the seven winning numbers in a single game panel needed to score division one, pushing the jackpot to $50 million for tomorrow night’s draw.

The Oz Lotto jackpot hasn’t climbed higher than $50 million since June 2019. Since then, a $50 million prize has been offered and won on three separate occasions.

In 2021, there were 18 Oz Lotto division one wins that collectively took home more than $279 million in division one prize money. Six of those division one winning entries landed in Victoria, five in New South Wales, three in Western Australia, two in Queensland and one each in the Northern Territory and South Australia.

The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said up to one-in-six Australian adults were expected to have an entry into this week’s Oz Lotto draw.

“The $50 million jackpot is the second-biggest prize offered by any Australian lottery game so far in 2022 and the biggest of any Australian lottery game at the moment,” he said.

“Last year, we had a steady stream of Oz Lotto division one winners, but we’re yet to welcome our first in 2022.

“Last year, Victorians and New South Welshmen snared the most big Oz Lotto jackpots, but will that trend continue?

“I’m sure many players are imagining the big Aussie fun they might have in 2022 and beyond if they scored this massive $50 million prize.

“I’ll be on standby to break the life-changing news to any registered division one winners straight after the draw on Tuesday night, but to do that, players need to register their entries to a player card or online account.

“You do need an entry to be in with a chance to win, so make sure you have your ticket before the draw closes at 7:30pm AEST on Tuesday night.”

Oz Lotto draw 1458 closes at 7:30pm AEST on Tuesday 25 January 2022.

Tickets can be purchased at any licensed lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via The Lott mobile app.

The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached more than 256 so far this financial year.
