A hard-working Doncaster father has spent the early hours of the morning pacing back and forth comprehending how his life has changed forever after scoring $20 million in last night’s Oz Lotto draw.
The Melburnian held the only division one winning entry nationally in Oz Lotto draw 1530, drawn Tuesday 13 June 2023 and took home a total divison one prize of $20,000,000.
“I’m still shaking,” he laughed when an official from The Lott confirmed his newfound fortune.
“I found out at 3am this morning after my shift. I discovered it when I went to purchase a ticket into Powerball’s $60 million draw for tomorrow night. It was such a shock.
“I don’t really need to worry about tomorrow night’s draw anymore – I’ve got $20 million!
“I always buy an Oz Lotto and Powerball ticket after my early morning shift. It’s a little treat to myself. I’ve been playing for more than a decade.
“I’ve got my whole family gathered around the phone right now. My wife is happy, my daughter is very happy. It’s something I’ll remember for the rest of my life.”
The winning man’s daughter was bursting with excitement on the phone and shared a few words about her father.
“My dad is really hard working. He deserves the world,” she added.
“He’s never received anything in his life.
“We’re so happy for him.”
With $20 million about to land into his bank account before the end of the financial year, he revealed some wondrous plans.
“Most importantly, I’ll help my family. I’ll share it around,” he shared.
“I’ve got some loans to pay off. Starting with my house mortgage.
“You’ve brightened my day!”
His winning 9 game QuickPick entry was purchased at BP Prahran, 500 Malvern Road, Prahran.
The winning numbers in Oz Lotto draw 1530 on Tuesday 13 June 2023 were 5, 35, 37, 14, 21, 12 and 22, while the supplementary numbers were 46, 47 and 17.
Across Australia, there was one division one winning entry in Oz Lotto draw 1530 – one in Victoria.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 189 so far in 2023, including 63 won by Tatts customers.
