Two Melburnians have waltzed into the week after each scooping an exhilarating $100,000 prize in yesterday’s Lucky Lotteries draws, with a Yallambie mother declaring the win filled her with hope and excitement, while a Taylor Lakes man did his best to keep his cool.

The two players held 1st Prize winning entries into yesterday’s Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draws 10955 and 10956, drawn Monday 7 April 2025. Each winning entry pocketed $100,000.

An official from The Lott delighted both winners with the life-enhancing news immediately after the draws.

“Ray of hope”: Yallambie mother’s year transformed with $100,000 Lucky Lotteries boost

A Yallambie mother who’d been weathering a tough start to the year was filled with hope and excitement after discovering her $100,000 win in a recent Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.

“My god!” she gasped when an official from The Lott revealed her prize.

“It feels a bit surreal. Oh my god!

“I’ve been having a really crappy year with family who have been sick. So, this just feels amazing.

“It’s been taking a toll on us for sure. This is the ray of hope we needed.

“My mum and I have been taking it in turns of going in and buying Lucky Lotteries tickets. We’ve been hoping for some good news.”

When asked how she planned to enjoy her bounty, the victorious Victorian revealed the prize would allow her to fulfil her dreaming of owning her very own home.

“The prize will go straight into a savings account to help us buy a house.”

Her winning entry of one random number was purchased at IGA Rosanna, 90-94 Lower Plenty Road, Rosanna.

Taylors Lakes man keeps his cool at work following $100,000 Lucky Lotteries winning phone call

A Taylors Lakes man has tried his best to remain cool, calm and collected while at work after receiving the winning news he’d won $100,000 in a Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw.

“That’s a lovely surprise,” the winning man cheered when an official from The Lott relayed the exciting news.

“I’m just at work at the moment, so I’m trying my best to keep my cool.

“It’s great news! I never thought you’d be calling me.

“I’ll do a happy dance and celebrate when I’m not at work.

“I’m not too sure what I’ll do with the prize just yet. I’d like to give it some good thought.”

His winning entry of 10 random numbers was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $5.32 million for draw 1700, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $15.19 million for draw 10957.

In 2024, 147 Lucky Lotteries 1st Prize and Jackpot winning entries across Australia won more than $52.2 million.

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.

Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.

Tickets can be purchased at any licenced lottery outlet, online from thelott.com or via The Lott mobile app.

The official home of Australia’s lotteries, The Lott operates and markets Australia’s leading lottery games customers know and love creating everyday winners, winning every day.

In 2024, more than 195.3 million winners took home more than $4.84 billion in prize money from their favourite games at The Lott, including TattsLotto, Weekday Windfall, Powerball, Oz Lotto, Set for Life, Lucky Lotteries, Keno (SA), Super 66, Lotto Strike and Instant Scratch-Its.

Last financial year, Australia’s official lotteries contributed more than $1.8 billion via state lottery taxes and donations to help community initiatives, such as hospitals, health research, disaster relief and education.
