A Fennell Bay woman has revealed she’s jumping for joy after winning $200,000 in today’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The New South Wales woman won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1179, drawn Monday 17 December 2018. Her entry of four consecutive numbers also won a consolation prize of $2,000, rounding up her total win to $202,000.
Sharing her joy with a NSW Lotteries official this afternoon, the woman said she was blown away by the surprise news.
“Oh really, you must be joking?” she asked.
“When I started reading my ticket number out to you my heart was really racing.
“Now I’m feeling so emotional.
“That’s such wonderful news.
“Wow, thank you, goodness me!
“Oh gosh, I don’t think I’ll be able to do anything for the rest of the day!”
The regular Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot player revealed she’s been dreaming of a big win recently.
“I won some money on another entry and I thought instead of buying just one or two numbers, I’d buy four,” she explained.
“I had such a funny feeling because I always try to think positively and this week I had been thinking to myself ‘maybe I’ll win’.
“I always say to my kids ‘the dream is half the fun’ and now, oh my goodness, it has come true.
“I’m absolutely flabbergasted.”
When asked what she planned to do with her unexpected windfall, the ecstatic woman revealed she could think of plenty of ways to use her prize.
“Well there’s a million things I can think of but first on the list is definitely to get a fence built so I can finally get a dog,” she shared.
“And I can’t wait to do more things with my children.
“What a great Christmas present as well.
“I’ll be doing a few jumps in the air when I hang up.”
The winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased her winning entry of four consecutive numbers at Toronto News, 66 The Boulevarde, Toronto.
Toronto News owner Andrew Fennel said it was great to sell another 1st Prize winning entry.
“It’s always exciting when one of our customers has a major win and even better when the prize goes to someone who really deserves it,” he said.
“Last year we sold a division one winning entry that won $1 million, no matter how big the prize is, it’s always exciting.”
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $31.96 million for draw 1180 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $2.06 million for draw 10262.
