A mystery East Brighton player is kick-starting the week $100,000 richer after scratching one of the top prizes on a $5 Aces Wild Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
The winning ticket was purchased at East Brighton Newsagency, 613 Hampton Street, Brighton.
How the winner plans to use their instant windfall will forever remain a mystery as they have chosen to stay completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
East Brighton Newsagency owner Rod Harris said he was thrilled to discover his outlet had sold another major prize winning ticket.
“What a great win for our customer!” he exclaimed.
“We’ll be celebrating by telling all of our customers we’ve sold a top prize.
“We’re sure they will be happy to hear we’ve sold another winner. This is the second top prize on an Instant Scratch-Its ticket we’ve sold.
“We’ve been on a bit of a winning streak this year. We sold a division one prize in TattsLotto in May.
“This win makes it six major prize winners since we’ve owned the outlet including TattsLotto, Monday Lotto and Lucky Lotteries as well as our top prize Instant Scratch-Its winners.
“Congratulations to our winner! We wish them all the best with their prize!”
The Lott spokesperson Bronwyn Spencer said she was sure East Brighton’s lastest winner would enjoy every moment of their windfall.
“Imagine scoring $100,000 just before Christmas and the summer holidays!” she exclaimed.
“What a perfect time for our winner to see those extra zeros in their bank account.
“We’re sure it will go a long way towards a Christmas to remember or a new year full of adventure.
“Whatever they do with their windfall we are sure it will give them a smile from ear to ear!”
Between 1 July 2019 and 30 June 2020, there were 151 Instant Scratch-Its top prize winners across The Lott’s jurisdictions who collectively took home more than $11.8 million in top prizes.
