An Eastwood boilermaker’s heart nearly leapt out of his chest when he woke from a daytime nap to discover he’d won $200,000 in yesterday’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The City of Ryde resident held the 1st Prize winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1754, drawn Wednesday 14 January 2026 and looks forward to a neat $200,000 prize.
The gleeful winner confessed he’d checked his ticket three times and still couldn’t wrap his head around the reality of his major lottery prize.
“I’m a very happy boilermaker right now!” he exclaimed when finally speaking with an official from The Lott.
“I was having a nap earlier when you tried to call me. When I woke up, I wasted no time checking my ticket and I honestly didn’t think it was real.
“I checked my ticket three times, and it still seemed fake.
“I’m meant to be working later today, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to focus.
“I don’t know what to think right now. I’m just feeling so happy.
“I can’t wait for my wife to finish work so I can tell her the good news.”
With a dreamy $200,000 heading his way, the delighted winner shared he would take his time planning how to put his prize to good use.
“I don’t want to rush into anything,” he said.
“I think we’ll start by having a celebratory dinner and planning what we’ll do.
“Maybe I’ll get a new car.”
His winning entry of six random numbers was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $21.52 million for draw 1755, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $500,000.00 for draw 11057.
Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.
