An Eatons Hill couple are starting their workweek as newly minted millionaires after a last-minute ticket in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw scored them a flashy $2 million.
The Brisbane residents held one of the five division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4607 on Saturday, 13 September 2025. Each division one winning entry can look forward to $2 million.
When an official from The Lott called the duo to reveal the news, the winning husband answered the phone with no idea of their good fortune, leaving him in complete shock.
“This has to be a gee up! Are you for real right now?” the winning husband laughed.
“Man, what a shock! I’m speechless. I’m flabbergasted. I don’t know what to say.
“When you rang a second time, I thought this could be important. It certainly was!
“This is an awesome start to my Monday.
“It was a last-minute ticket because my wife couldn’t make it to the newsagency and asked me to get her one online.
“Normally, we only buy a lottery ticket if it’s a big jackpot, so I actually said to her, ‘Are you sure? It’s only $10 million’. She’s going to be ecstatic!
“It’ll make such a difference to our lives, and it will help set up our kids.
“This is unbelievable. This is the best call I’ve ever received.”
Their winning 25-game QuickPick was purchased on The Lott website – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4607 on 13 September 2025 were 31, 13, 18, 15, 2 and 40, while the supplementary numbers were 36 and 26.
Across Australia, there was five division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4607 – two in Queensland and one each in New South Wales, Tasmania and Western Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 307 so far in 2025, including 73 won by Golden Casket customers.
