The Sydney player held one of the three division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4153 on Wednesday 2 February 2022 and takes home $1 million.
However, how they plan to spend their windfall will forever be a mystery as they have chosen to remain completely anonymous and celebrate in private.
The division one winning entry was purchased at North Epping Newsagency, Shop 2, 288 Malton Road, Epping.
North Epping Newsagency owner Socheat Chey said she was happy to hear the winner had claimed their prize.
“I was very excited when I heard we’d sold a division one winning entry. My mind was racing, wondering who the unregistered winner might be,” she said.
“I’m so glad the winner has now realised they’re a millionaire. Everyone in the area is pleased for the lucky winner – whoever they may be.
“We are celebrating this win with some champagne, and we’ll have a small party for our staff.
“We took ownership of this outlet about eight months ago, and this is our first division one win, so it’s a big milestone. Hopefully, there are plenty more big wins in our future.
“We are so happy for our winner and glad we were able to be part of this awesome moment in their life. We won’t forget it!”
The Lott spokesperson Ally Ramsamy said she was sure the winner was delighted by their division one win.
“While we may never know how they plan to enjoy their prize, we have no doubt they are walking around today grinning from ear to ear after discovering their win,” she said.
“Other winners tell us they use their windfall to help their families, buy a new house, upgrade their home with renovations or splurge a new car.
“However, our winner chooses to use their prize, we hope they enjoy the winning feeling for a long time to come.”
The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4153 on Wednesday 2 February 2022 were 45, 33, 5, 27, 8 and 15, while the supplementary numbers were 16 and 36.
Across Australia, there were three division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday Lotto draw 4153 – one each from New South Wales, Victoria and Western Australia.
