A generous Cheltenham woman has declared she will share with her family the $25,000 she won from scratching one of the top prizes on a $2 Gnome Sweet Gnome Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
The winner revealed the Instant Scratch-Its ticket was a gift from her father, who purchased the winning ticket from A to Z Lotto, Kiosk 133A, Westfield Southland, 1239 Nepean Highway, Cheltenham.
“My Dad actually bought it for me,” she explained.
“I scratched it at home and I couldn’t believe it when I saw it. Because each game is different I took it back to the store to double check it.
“It wasn’t until they confirmed the win that I realised it was true and we’d won the top prize!
“My Dad has been playing Instant Scratch-Its for years and has never won anything like this! He’s just happy we’ve had a win!”
When asked how she planned to spend her Instant windfall, the Cheltenham woman revealed it would be shared amongst her beloved family.
“It’s life changing! I’m going to share it around the family,” she declared.
“It was a gift from a family member, so everyone is going to get a little slice. It will make a difference to everyone’s life.
“You have to share the good fortune around I think!
“I’ll put my slice away for my kids’ future.”
A to Z Lotto owner Adrian Zalcman said he was thrilled to have sold a top prize winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
“I was here when the winner checked their ticket so I was so excited to be able to break the news it was in fact a top prize winning ticket!” he exclaimed.
“It’s always good when any of our customers win a prize and I’m so happy for our winner and that they’ve won $25,000!”
Last financial year, there were 158 Instant Scratch-Its top prize winners across the Lott’s jurisdictions who collectively took home more than $11.28 million.
