A Hobart man might’ve started his workday on the wrong foot this morning but a life-changing phone call revealing his $1.8 million TattsLotto win has completely turned his day upside down.
The Tasmanian held one of the 11 division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4409, drawn Saturday 21 October 2023 and took home a total prize of $1,818,181.82.
“Wow! Wow! I’m in shock,” he cheered.
“F***! I had no idea – zero idea!
“I’m actually in the middle of driving. I had to pull over when you called. Funnily enough, I thought I was having a bad morning because there was a mishap at work but now it’s done a complete 180!
“I don’t know what to say. That’s incredible!
“I play a random subscription every Saturday and I have just let it run for a bit.
“Thank you so much for this phone call.”
When asked how the $1.8 million lottery loot would enhance his future, the newly made millionaire shared it would help him live mortgage-free.
“This will be a tremendous help. I’ll be able to pay off my mortgage,” he explained.
“Gosh! I’ll have to celebrate tonight!”
His winning 50-game QuickPick was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4409 on 21 October 2023 were 30, 29, 7, 2, 31 and 12, while the supplementary numbers were 9 and 33.
Across Australia, there were 11 division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4409 – four in Queensland, four in New South Wales, two in Victoria and one in Tasmania..
