A Nanango man couldn’t help but exclaim with glee this morning after receiving confirmation he is now over $400,000 richer after winning the coveted division one prize in Saturday Gold Lotto.
The Nanango entry was one of ten division one winning entries across Australia in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3877 on 15 September 2018. Each entry won the division one prize of $408,233.51.
“Fair dinkum!” the man exclaimed when a Golden Casket official confirmed his prize this morning.
“Ho ho! Wahoo! I checked my ticket yesterday afternoon, but it is great to have it confirmed.
“I’ve been playing awhile, but I don’t always play – just when I feel like it.
“In fact I’d just walked past the newsagent and popped it on.”
When asked how he planned to spend his Gold Lotto windfall, the happy winner revealed his loved ones were at the top of his Lotto List.
“We’ll probably share it with family,” he said.
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning 18-game entry at Nanango Newsagency, 64 Drayton Street, Nanango.
Nanango Newsagency owner Alison Warren said her outlet’s latest Gold Lotto win came just 14 months after the last one.
“We are very excited! It’s great to help someone realise a dream!” she exclaimed.
“The last one we sold was just 14 months ago so we are feeling like a really lucky store.
“We are just happy to be a part of someone’s luck!”
So far this calendar year, Monday & Wednesday Gold Lotto and Saturday Gold Lotto have created 128 millionaires across Australia.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3877 on Saturday 15 September 2018 were 3, 7, 15, 44, 45 and 1, while the supplementary numbers were 26 and 34.
Across Australia there were ten division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 3877 – four from Queensland, three from Victoria, two from New South Wales, and one from Western Australia.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 291 so far this calendar year, including 66 won by Golden Casket customers.
Last financial year, there were 290 division one winning Saturday Gold Lotto entries across the Lott’s jurisdictions, which collectively won more than $302.7 million.
