From upgrading the washing machine to installing a new water bore, the unique ways Aussie lottery winners use their life-changing windfalls are as vast and varied as Australia itself.

Ahead of Australia Day celebrations this weekend, the Lott – Australia’s official lotteries has revealed some of the most unique ways Aussie division one winners have celebrated and enjoyed their division one win in 2018.

Spokesperson for the Lott, Bronwyn Spencer, revealed many Australians didn’t hold back on their celebrations after discovering their division one win.

“While many choose to keep the news quiet and celebrate in private, others can’t wait to share their joy with their nearest and dearest,” she explained.

“My favourite would have to be a young Oz Lotto winner who discovered the life-changing news he was $10 million richer during his workday and declared he and his workmates were walking off the job for a permanent smoko break!”

“Aussies often reveal to us they plan to share their division one wins with their family and their mates, travel our sunburnt country on a never-ending odyssey and put their windfall towards the great Australian dream of owning their own home,” she said.

“However, other winners have declared some division one dreams that are more unique to Australia. From solar panels and water-tanks to engagement rings and clean hands – we’ve heard it all.”
