A Whyalla man has declared he might treat himself to a lobster and champagne lunch after discovering he won $800,000 this week in a Monday & Wednesday X Lotto draw.

The South Australian held one of the five division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday X Lotto drawn Wednesday 26 July 2023. Each division one winning entry took home $800,000.

“Oh! That’s alright!” the unsuspecting winner cried when an official from The Lott made contact to reveal his good fortune.

“I’ve been playing for decades, but I only started playing these numbers last year.

“I thought you might have been a family member playing a joke on me.

“This doesn’t happen every day! I might go and have a lobster and champagne lunch to celebrate.

“I’m going to pay off the mortgage and help my children – this will give them a good deposit for houses of their own.

“I’d love to enjoy a holiday too!”

The man’s winning marked Pick 5 entry was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s official lotteries.

The winning numbers in Monday & Wednesday X Lotto draw 4307 on Wednesday 26 July 2023 were 37, 24, 35, 20, 15 and 30, while the supplementary numbers were 32 and 7.

Across Australia, there were five division one winning entries in Monday & Wednesday X Lotto draw 4307 – two from New South Wales and one each from Queensland, Victoria, and South Australia.
