A Ferntree Gully man can’t wait to hit the roads with a new set of wheels after scoring $2.8 million in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.
There were seven division one winning entries across Australia in TattsLotto draw 4271 on Saturday, 25 June 2022. Each entry scored a division one prize of $2,857,142.86.
The Knox resident took a little longer to discover his multi-million-dollar win after initially declining several calls from The Lott officials.
“I’m in shock. I can’t process it!” he laughed.
“I received multiple phone calls in the past three days and a text message alerting me to check my TattsLotto ticket. I had no idea I’d won $2.8 million!
“I went down to my local newsagency to talk to the owner because I wasn’t too sure if the text message was true. He scanned my ticket and told me I’d won division one.
“I just froze - it’s such a surreal moment that you never expect to happen to you!
“I don’t think it’s hit me yet. I can’t believe that I’ve won $2.8 million. It’s just too much to comprehend.
“Once I process the winning news, I’ll let my siblings know about the win!
“My car is getting old, so I’d love to upgrade it with the prize. I’ve been looking at the new Mazda series – perhaps a new SUV!
“This is mind-boggling!”
His marked 18-game entry was purchased at Knox Central Lotto, Shop KB-1 Westfield Knox, 425 Burwood Highway, Wantirna South.
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4271 on 25 June 2022 were 25, 20, 6, 16, 18, 36, while the supplementary numbers were 33 and 39.
Across Australia, there were seven division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4271 – three each in Victoria and Western Australia and one in Queensland.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 220 so far this calendar year, including 78 won by Tatts customers.
In 2021, TattsLotto created 210 millionaires across Australia.
