A Launceston woman was enjoying frankfurt sausages when she coincidently scratched the word "frankfurt" on her Instant Scratch-Its ticket and uncovered a mouthwatering $100,000 top prize win.

The top prize winning $5 Cash Word Countries Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased from Prospect Lotto, Shop 13/14, Olde Tudor Shopping Centre, 195 Westbury Road, Launceston.

Speaking to officials from The Lott days after discovering her instant win, the Tasmanian was still giggling with excitement and relayed how the winning discovery came about.

“I’m still very stunned,” the winning woman giggled.

“We’ve never won anything big in our entire lives.

“It’s actually quite funny how the win came to be.

“My husband and I were having lunch together eating frankfurts when we decided to scratch the ticket.

“We were brainstorming words to try on the ticket, and because we were eating frankfurts we thought we’d try the word.

“Turns out frankfurt was the word we were missing! We couldn’t believe it!

“My husband and I couldn’t stop laughing in shock. We were saying to each other, ‘This can’t be real, right?’

“It was just so strange.

“Frankfurts may be our favourite food now.”

With $100,000 soon to boost her bank account, the gleeful winner was looking forward to surprising her children with the winning news.

“Well, we haven’t told our kids yet, so we’re looking forward to celebrating over a bottle of champagne,” she shared.

“It will be a great boost to our bank account.

“We will look to do some travel once we get organised.”

Prospect Lotto team member Tammy Marshall shared she was very excited to have a regular customer rewarded with a top prize win worth $100,000.

“We’re planning to decorate the outlet with balloons and posters to celebrate the milestone,” she said.

“We get very excited to see our customers win; it makes us happy knowing that wins can drastically change people's lives in this current climate.

Congratulations to our loyal customer. We wish you all the best.”
