After initially misinterpreting lottery official’s phone calls as a scam, a Frenchs Forest mother is now coming around to celebrating the news of her $100,000 Lucky Lotteries win.

The Northern Sydney woman held the guaranteed $100,000 in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10532, drawn Friday 25 February 2022.

As well as winning the 1st Prize, the New South Wales player also won a consolation prize of $1,000, boosting her total windfall to $101,000.

When an official from The Lott finally got a hold of the elated woman, she admitted she was still trying to comprehend the thrilling news.

“It’s amazing! What a nice feeling,” she laughed.

“I received some phone calls and emails straight after the draw, but I didn’t recognise the phone number or email, so I didn’t answer or take any notice! I said to myself, ‘It’s definitely a scam’.

“I ignored the phone calls and emails for a few days, and then eventually I decided to log in to my online The Lott account. It all started to make sense when I discovered I’d won $100,000!

“I went to my husband straight away and we were checking the results back and forth – we couldn’t believe it.

“Thank you! Thank you!”

While the prize offers the potential for a brand-new car or a lavish holiday, the Northern Beaches woman said she was too mind-boggled to make any concrete plans with her prize.

“I’ll have to take everything in first and wait for the prize to land into the bank account before I can decide what I’ll spend it on, but I know it will go to good use,” she said.

“I’ve been playing for about 10 years now, so I’m just so excited to have won a major lottery prize!”

Her winning entry of 10 random numbers was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $8.05 million for draw 10533, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $7.49 million for draw 1562.
