Returning to mobile reception during a camping trip, a Macksville woman was met with a flood of missed calls and messages – only to discover she had won $100,000 in a recent Lucky Lotteries draw.
The Nambucca Valley resident held the 1st Prize-winning entry in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw 10945 on Monday 17 March 2025. She also pocketed a consolation prize, boosting her total win to $101,000.
“Thank you! That’s excellent!” the woman exclaimed when her prize was confirmed by an official from The Lott.
“I’ll have to tell my husband! He’s out fixing the generator.
“We’ve been camping in a spot that doesn’t have great mobile coverage. But then, when we got here, my phone went off with all the bells and whistles. I had a few missed calls and messages – I thought someone had died!
“What a lovely call to get! It’s just excellent.
“I might put some bubbly in the fridge when the generator is working again.
“Every week, I like to play Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot.
“We’ll definitely put the prize to good use.
“I think there will be plenty more holidays and adventures – I’m actually thinking we might upgrade to business class on our next overseas trip just for the experience!”
The woman’s winning entry of four consecutive numbers was purchased at Macksville Newsagency, 11 Wallace Street, Macksville.
