A North Richmond dad has declared his bathroom the best seat in the house after not only discovering his $3.3 million Saturday Lotto win there but also realising that he’d bought his winning ticket there too.
The Hawkesbury resident held one of the six division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4571, drawn Saturday 10 May 2025. Each division one winning entry pocketed $3,333,333.34.
The jubilant man was still flush with excitement when an official from The Lott called to confirm the life-changing win.
“I’ve been waiting for your call!” he cheered.
“Thank you very much. I’ve checked it about a million times. It’s amazing.
“I checked it on Sunday night. We were all tired from Mother's Day celebrations, and everyone went to bed early. Sitting on the toilet, I checked my phone and just went ‘sh**!’. I had to wake everyone up immediately
“It’s quite funny actually, I also bought the ticket while I was on the toilet. Must be my lucky spot!
“I was pretty spooked when I saw the division one amount because 33 is my lucky number, and the whole win amount was a bunch of 33s. It was a bit spooky. I’ve won other stuff, not quite like this, but somehow 33 is always involved.
“It’s great news for our family. It’ll make life a lot easier.
“We’d love to help our kids enter the property market, and we’ll give back.
“We’ve got a family dinner planned, and now there will be no limit on cocktails!”
His winning System 10 QuickPick entry was purchased via The Lott app – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Lotto draw 4571 on 3 May 2025 were 1, 35, 18, 25, 45 and 38, while the supplementary numbers were 4 and 16.
Across Australia, there was six division one winning entries in Saturday Lotto draw 4571 – two in New South Wales, three in Victoria and one in Queensland.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 402 so far in FY25, including 123 won by NSW Lotteries customers.
