A Pasadena man is looking forward to an upgraded holiday and early retirement thanks to his $620,000 division one win in the weekend’s Saturday X Lotto draw.
The South Australian resident held one of nine division one winning entries in Saturday X Lotto, drawn Saturday 3 January 2024, and took home a total prize of $628,335.19.
The winning entry was unregistered which means officials from The Lott were unable to reach out to the ticketholder and had to wait for them to check their ticket and come forward.
Before allowing his excitement to take over, the winning man confessed he initially experienced a moment of panic at the thought of losing his entry before he could claim it.
“As soon as I realised we had won, I went straight to the head office,” he said.
“I didn’t want to hang onto the ticket for any longer than I needed to! I was too afraid I’d lose it.
“We’re staying calm, cool, and collected. You know, we don’t want to lash out and do anything crazy.
“We’ll talk to a financial advisor and use the prize wisely.
“We’re semi-retired you see. This is going to help with that.
“We are going on a cruise soon too - I wouldn’t mind upgrading to VIP!
“Thank you again. We feel over the moon!”
His winning entry was purchased from Pasadena LPO, Shop 6, Pasadena Shopping Centre, 16-30 Fiveash Drive, Pasadena.
The Pasadena LPO team said they were thrilled for their winner and wished him all the best with his prize.
The winning numbers in Saturday X Lotto draw 4439 on 3 February 2024 were 23, 11, 29, 3, 19, 22, while the supplementary numbers were 30 and 20.
