A Chatham man’s midweek blues have turned golden after scratching his way to a $25,000 top prize Instant Scratch-its win.
The New South Wales resident’s $2 Power x 10 Instant Scratch-Its ticket was purchased from Chatham Lotto,Shops 6 & 7, 18 Bruntnell Street, Chatham.
When an official from The Lott called to confirm the wondrous news, the winning man was already dreaming of ditching his worn-out wheels for a sleek new car.
“I’m very good!” he laughed.
“It was quite the surprise when I realised I had won the top prize. I still don’t know what to say.
“I don’t always play. I just buy a ticket every now and then when I have some spare change.
“I’ve never won something like this, so it’s pretty amazing.
“It’ll certainly come in handy.
“I might even look to buy a new car. One that doesn’t require too much attention.
“Thank you so much. It’s awesome.”
Chatham Lotto owner Jono Nash said he was thrilled to hear his outlet had sold a top prize winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket.
“I am ecstatic! It has already created a huge buzz in the store,” he shared.
“About four months ago, we sold a division two winning ticket in Set for Life but this is our first top prize win.
“As a new owner, I am over the moon and feel that this is just the beginning.
