Gawler woman to spread the love during tough times with $100,000 Keno win

A Gawler woman is looking forward to sharing the love after discovering she scored $100,000 in Keno.

The South Australian scored the Keno Spot 8 jackpot in draw 240624 488, drawn Monday 24 June 2024 and took home $100,000.

“Thank you very much,” she said when speaking to an official from The Lott.

“I’m so happy about the win. It’s very exciting.

“It’s really going to come in handy. It’ll do some wonderful things for me and my family.

“We’ve had some really tough things happen lately so it’s nice to finally have some good news.

“I’m not entirely sure what yet, but I know I want to spread the happiness.

“I also want to say a big thank you to the Gawler Green Newsagency team! They’re amazing!”

The woman’s winning entry was purchased from Gawler Green Newsagency, Shop 9, Gawler Green Shopping Centre, 491 Main North Road.

In 2023, there were more than 1.52 million Keno wins across South Australia worth more than $87.5 million.  This included 33 Keno Spot 8, 9 and 10 winners across South Australia who scored more than $7.44 million.

The Spot 10 prize was won three times during this period, including a $2.3 million prize.

Keno is a game whereby 20 numbers are randomly generated from a possible 80. To win a Keno Spot 10 prize, a player must match all 10 of the numbers selected on their ticket against the 20 numbers drawn.
