A family man from Geelong has declared he is looking forward to a ‘stress free future’ after discovering he is now a newly-minted millionaire from winning division one in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.
The Victorian resident held one of the three division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 3927, drawn Saturday 9 March 2019. Each entry took home a division one prize of $1,316,406.07.
As well as winning the coveted division one prize, the thrilled man also won division six, bolstering his total prize to $1,316,422.12.
Sharing his joy with a Tatts official this morning to confirm the life-changing news, the exuberant winner couldn’t contain his joy at his good fortune.
“That is amazing! I can’t believe it!” he exclaimed.
“When I logged in and saw that I had won I thought there must have been something wrong.
“I just couldn’t believe it!
“I originally thought I hadn’t won anything so logged on and bought another ticket into next Saturday’s draw. I needn’t have bothered now!
“I feel a bit silly – I didn’t even think to check my ticket.
“It’s totally overwhelming at the moment. I can’t believe it.”
When asked how the happy family man planned to spend his TattsLotto windfall, he confessed he was looking forward to his future being free from stress.
“First thing we’ll do is pay off the house!” he declared.
“The stress of paying it off is gone.
“We’ve got two young kids so I’ll put some money away for their future education so I don’t have to worry about that either.
“It’s just great. It will be a lot easier going back to work knowing I don’t have to stress about it.”
The overjoyed man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning 50-game QuickPick entry online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.
