A Moonee Valley woman has had her workday flipped on its head by the lunchtime revelation she won $2.5 million in the weekend’s TattsLotto draw.
The Victorian held one of the eight division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto, draw 4559, drawn Saturday 29 March 2025. Each division one winning entry pocketed $2.5 million.
The winning woman was oblivious to her good fortune until an official from The Lott spoke with her during her Monday lunchbreak.
“Are you serious? You are kidding me!” she exclaimed when the enormity of her prize was revealed.
“Oh my god! I’ve never won stuff like this! Wow! This is unheard of.
“This is very surreal! I’m just trying to take it all in. Geez Louise! I can’t believe this!
“I wish we had a virtual TV so you could reach out and slap me to wake me up. I feel like I’m dreaming.
“I probably only started playing in November last year. My husband used to get the tickets and forget about them, so I thought I’ll go online and have a play. I just get a QuickPick entry when I remember, so some weeks I have one and then I’ll miss a week.
When asked how she might enjoy life as a multi-millionaire, the stunned winner confessed she would need some time for the enormity of her prize to sink in.
“I don’t even know yet. I think I’ll definitely go on a trip. I’ll also probably look at retiring early.
“This is amazing. It was a good Monday, but now it’s taken an amazing turn.”
The winning 25-game QuickPick entry was purchased on The Lott website – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4559 on 29 March 2025 were 36, 3, 17, 1, 21 and 41, while the supplementary numbers were 24 and 30.
Across Australia, there were eight division one winning entries in TattsLotto draw 4559 – two each in Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia, and one each in Victoria and the ACT.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 354 so far in FY25, including 132 won by Tatts customers.
In 2024, TattsLotto created 149 millionaires across Australia.
During this time, there were 316 division one winning TattsLotto entries across Australia that collectively won more than $400.2 million.
