A Chambers Flat grandfather has been left lost for words after realising he’d won almost $320,000 in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.
The Logan resident was among the 17 division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4265, drawn Saturday 4 June 2022. Each scored a division one prize of $319,939.66.
Confirming his win with an official from The Lott, the elated man joked while his grandchildren had already submitted their wish list, he also had a few things in mind to treat himself.
“I’ve been waiting for this day for over 30 years!” he proclaimed.
“I can’t believe it. I won! It’s like a dream.
“I saw the numbers come up and I thought, ‘you beauty’, I’ve been using them since the day I started playing lotteries.
“Look, I love my family, and I’ll do whatever I can to help them. My grandkids know exactly what they want.
“They’ve also told me exactly what I need to do – buy myself a new car, specifically a Mustang.
“If it isn’t loud, I think my grandson will be very cross with me!
“The rest of the win will go to my retirement fund and to travelling around the parts of Australia I haven’t seen yet.
“This is incredible. Thank you so much!”
The man’s winning marked System 9 entry was purchased online at thelott.com – the official home of Australia’s lotteries.
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4265 on 4 June 2022 were 23, 25, 7, 13, 8, 17, while the supplementary numbers were 42 and 31.
Across Australia, there were 17 division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4265 – six in Western Australia, four in Victoria, three in Queensland, two in South Australia and one each in Tasmania and the Northern Territory.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 201 so far this calendar year, including 45 won by Golden Casket customers.
