A young family man from Seaforth is happily celebrating today after discovering he is $200,000 richer from winning the 1st Prize in last week’s Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw.
The Seaforth winner won the guaranteed 1st Prize of $200,000 in Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot draw 1129, drawn on Monday 17 September 2018.
This morning, over a week after his winning numbers were drawn, the man discovered he was more than $200,000 richer.
“Wow! This is awesome,” he laughed with glee.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you so much!
“I am very, very, very excited!
“I had no idea I had won. I was just with my mum and we went down to the newsagency to scan the ticket and they said we had won a prize, but that we needed to call you.
“They couldn’t confirm anything so I had no idea. But I was thinking it was probably a few hundred dollars.
“When I went home, I went online to check, and it said I had won the 1st Prize – I was ecstatic!
“I didn’t want to tell my mum and get her excited until I spoke to you and it was properly confirmed. I can’t wait to call mum and my wife to tell them the good news.”
With his windfall still sinking in, the man admitted he would need time to think about how he would spend it.
“I will definitely give half of it to my mum, because she was with me when I got the ticket and she deserves it,” he shared.
“I have a young family as well, so this will definitely help us a lot.
“I am feeling very blessed right now. I have an amazing family and now I have won the lottery! What could be better?
“I can’t wait to celebrate with my family tonight and then spoil them all when the money goes into my account.”
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased his winning entry of two consecutive numbers at Seaforth News and Post, 547 Sydney Road, Seaforth.
Seaforth News and Post owner Andrew Lam said he was thrilled his store sold a Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot 1st Prize winning entry.
“It is thrilling to have sold that prize. It has been over two years since we have had such a big win,” he shared.

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $20.92 million for draw 1134 while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is now $2.32 million for draw 10249.
